Lukas Giner
I am a microarchitectural security researcher. My thesis, completed at ISEC (Graz University of Technology) with Daniel Gruss in 2025, covers attacks and defenses for isolated execution domains, including cache side-channels, transient execution, hardware isolation in Intel SGX and AMD SEV-SNP, and GPU cache attacks via the WebGPU API. The GPU work demonstrated that browsers have enough hardware access to run cache attacks across a wide range of devices, and won Best Paper at AsiaCCS 2024. I have also spoken at Black Hat USA 2025, Black Hat Asia 2019, and RuhrSec 2022.
